Newest Issue of Southern Racehorse Now Online

The July/August issue issue of Southern Racehorse magazine is now available online by clicking here. The printed magazine is being mailed to all members of the Texas Thoroughbred Association and Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma, plus more than 2,000 additional horsemen and horsewomen in Louisiana and around the region. Members of the Georgia Horse Racing Coalition, North Carolina Thoroughbred Association and South Carolina Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association also receive the magazine, and starting with issue so will members of the Alabama HBPA and Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

This issue of Southern Racehorse features three special articles on jockeys with a look at how the rigors of the profession affect a rider’s family and home life, a profile of rising star David Cabrera and a historical look back at Oklahoma bush track rider Glen Eldon Nelson. This article also includes tax tips, stakes recaps, breeding news and a look at how to conduct a basic prepurchase exam at a yearling sale. Also included in this issue are important member updates for the Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina associations.
