Indiana TOBA Stallion Season Auction Begins Friday

The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association’s (ITOBA) annual Stallion Service Auction will be live online starting Friday, January 5 at 8 pm EST until Monday, January 8 at 7 pm EST. Stallions from Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Illinois and Florida are featured in the auction. Bidding will take place online at Starquine.com.

The auction creates increased earning potential for your 2019 progeny—purchase a stallion from this auction and have the mare foal in Indiana following the requirements of the Indiana Thoroughbred Breed Development Program to be eligible for Indiana-bred stakes and incentives. All Indiana-bred foals sired by a stallion sold in this auction are eligible for nomination to the ITOBA Stallion Season Auction Stakes Races, held at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville, Indiana. The SSA Stakes races are $75,000 and offered for 3-year-old fillies and 3-year-old colts/geldings.

Indiana stallions include Deputy Storm (Forestry – Deputy Jane West, by Silver Deputy); General a Rod (Roman Ruler – Dynamite Eyes, by Dynaformer); Lentenor (Dynaformer – La Ville Rouge, by Carson City); Notional (In Excess [IRE] – Truly Blessed, by French Deputy); and Taprize (Tapit – Fun House, by Prized); amongst others. Kentucky stallions include Paynter (Awesome Again – Tizso, by Cee’s Tizzy); War Correspondent (War Front – Tempo West, by Rahy); Midshipman (Unbridled’s Song – Fleet Lady, by Avenue of Flags); and Bayern (Offlee Wild – Alittlebitearly, by Thunder Gulch) among others.
