Georgia VIP Day Set for September 8 at Kentucky Downs

gakentuckydowns500Starting Gate Marketing in partnership with the Georgia Horse Racing Coalition, a group of leading business and civic leaders dedicated to bringing first-class horse racing to Georgia, is excited to announce Georgia VIP Day at Kentucky Downs on Thursday, September 8th.

“Bringing horse racing fans together at a fantastic and intimate venue like Kentucky Downs is a great way for fans to experience horse racing. The goal of the Georgia Horse Racing Coalition is to reinvent horse racing and Kentucky Downs is an example of the many ways this can be accomplished,” says Steve Crayne, Coalition executive director and owner of Starting Gate marketing.  “We’re planning a day packed with world-class turf racing, a tour of Old Friends at Kentucky Downs plus a $25 gift card, delicious food, over $250 in prizes, our very own tour photographer, Amber Chalfin, and host handicapper, Ellis Starr, national racing analyst at Equibase.”

Kentucky Downs, located in Franklin, Ky., conducts its live turf racing meet each September on the only “European-style” race course in North America. The meet is staged in an informal festival setting and features the annual running of the Grade 3 Kentucky Turf Cup race.

“We have two VIP ticket options, with just 50 tickets available, starting at $150; one for folks in Georgia requiring transportation and the other for anyone, anywhere, that does not require transportation. We have some very cool prizes we will be giving away, including; horse racing photos of your choice, American Pharoah artwork, autographed copies of Barry Irwin’s new book, Derby Innovator: The Making of Animal Kingdom, and more” adds Crayne.
