The first issue of the Southern Racehorse Express e-mail newsletter is now available. The newsletter, which is e-mailed to all members of the Texas Thoroughbred Association (TTA) and Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma (TRAO), serves as a supplement to the printed magazine Southern Racehorse, which will debut in late September.
The August issue of the Southern Racehorse Express includes an overview of the 2012 inductees to both the Texas and Oklahoma Horse Racing Halls of Fame, recaps of the Fasig-Tipton Texas Summer Yearling Sale and OKC Summer Yearling Sale, and news about a new Thoroughbred sale coming to Heritage Place in December.
Future issues will include major stakes results for races run in Texas and Oklahoma or races won by Texas-bred or Oklahoma-bred horses, along with other news and information related to the racing and breeding industry in the region. A variety of affordable advertising options are available for the newsletter and printed editions of Southern Racehorse.
