Marmeloen route to return to Britain to stand at Norton Grove Stud for 2022

Famous stayer and Melbourne Cup second Marmelo has been reported to be returning to Britain to stand at Norton Grove Stud in Yorkshire due to a two-year spell at Haras du Grand Courgeon held in France.

In a deal done by Richard Venn, who is famously known as the son of the retired Duke Of Marmalade was able to claim seven victories in a 22-race career for Hughie Morrison, which includes his victories from two Darley Prix Kergorlays, the John Porter Stakes and the Prix Maurice de Nieuil.

The eight-year-old horse was named to be the sixth foal out of the In The Wings mare Capriolla, who is a placed half-sister to Derby Trial winner Saddler’s QuestI, as well as three-time stakes scorer Quiz Mistress and Listed winner Seren Hill I

Marmelo is a half-brother to six notable winners which includes four-time scorer Jedhi as well as Henry II Stakes’ winner Vent De Force.

Marmelo will be standing alongside Sogann, the unraced Frankel half-brother to Prix Morny and Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Dabirsim, who were all backed by nz online casinos.
