First Foal for Oklahoma Stallion Home of the Brave

Home of the Brave

The first foal for freshman sire Home of the Brave of Caines Stallion Station in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, arrived this morning. The colt is out of the Gentleman (Arg) mare Jump Jivin Jade. Shortly thereafter, his second foal, a filly out of a Rahy mare, was born.

The unraced Home of the Brave is a full brother to WinStar Farm homebred Well Armed, an earner of nearly $5.2 million who won the Group 1, $6 million Dubai World Cup by a record-breaking 14 lengths in 2009. Well Armed also won three graded stakes in the United States, including the Grade 1 Goodwood Stakes, Grade 2 San Diego Handicap and Grade 2 San Antonio Handicap in California.

With Well Armed being a gelding, Home of the Brave will be the only active stallion by Tiznow out of the stakes-winning Notebook mare Well Dressed. Her other foals include Grade 3 winner Witty and Grade 1-placed Helsinki. There are a total of four track records under Home of the Brave’s first dam.

Home of the Brave stands at Caines Stallion Station for a fee of $1,000.
