Mister Lucky Cat, a promising son of the great sire Storm Cat, has joined the stallion roster at Oklahoma Equine Reproductive Center in Washington, Oklahoma, for 2016.

Out of the Grade 3-winning Mr. Prospector mare Get Lucky, he brings an incredible broodmare line to the breeding shed. Get Lucky is a full sister to Champion 2-year-old colt Rhythm, winner of the G1 Breeder’s Cup Juvenile and Travers Stakes.

The dam of G1 winner Girolamo and Daydreaming, Get Lucky has had nine foals to race, all winners, including Accelerator and Supercharger, the dam of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver.

“There is so much female family. We are excited to bring that pedigree to Oklahoma,” said Cyndi Compton, stallion manager at Oklahoma.

Mister Lucky Cat was a winner on both dirt and turf before his career was cut short by a trailer accident.  His stud fee will be $1,500.

“Oklahoma Equine Center has 24/7 staffing including a specialist in equine reproduction and two boarded surgeons. We like being able to offer state of the art care for mares, and the facility is located just off I-35 south of Norman with easy access for mare owners,” said stallion agent Michele Williams.

Mister Lucky Cat will join the stallion roster with stakes winner and millionaire sire Diamond (Mr. Prospector, Pure Profit by Key to the Mint) and Liquor Cabinet (Hennessy, Key Hunter by Jade Hunter), stakes winning sire of Oklahoma Stallion Stakes Winner Hard Cider.
