Highlander Training Center in Sulphur Springs, Texas, is hosting a “Lunch & Learn” for its employees to better serve their clients.

After training is done for the day, HTC will provide a meal from Slaughter’s BBQ for employees while Dr. Luis Morales and Dr. Ali Broyles (veterinarians from ESMS in Weatherford) give a talk and answer questions (Dr. Morales in Spanish and Dr. Broyles in English). They will talk about common injuries in racehorses, and how HTC can do an even better job of checking the horses for any injuries and what employees can do for initial treatment of common soft tissue and joint injuries.

Dr. Morales will do his session first (in Spanish) followed by Dr. Broyles giving the same presentation in English. The presentations will include slides on a big screen TV.

“This is a part of our ongoing efforts to offer continuing education to our team members Highlander Training Center so we can provide the best care to each individual horse, as well as premium customer service to our clients,” said Jeff Hooper, chairman and CEO of HTC.
