Grade 1 Performer Den’s Legacy to Mighty Acres in Oklahoma

Den’s Legacy, winner of the Grade 3 Generous Stakes and placed in the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity, will stand at Warren Center’s Mighty Acres Farm in Pryor, Oklahoma next season in a deal brokered by Chad Schumer of Schumer Bloodstock.

The son of Medaglia d’Oro will stand for $2,500.

Den’s Legacy has won or finished in the frame in 25 of 39 starts for owners Westrock Stables. He boasts earnings of $697,917.

A high-class 2-year-old, he won a six-furlong maiden special weight at Del Mar before capturing the Generous Stakes at Hollywood Park. He also ran second in the Zuma Beach Stakes and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint Preview Stakes and signed off the year by running third to Violence in the CashCall Futurity.

He was later a consistent graded stakes runner at three, when his performances included running third behind subsequent Grade 1 winners Will Take Charge and Oxbow in the Grade 2 Rebel Stakes. He was also placed in the Grade 2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes, Grade 2 La Jolla Handicap, Grade 2 Del Mar Derby and Grade 3 Sham Stakes.

More recently, Den’s Legacy has been placed in the Iowa Sprint Handicap and Hot Springs Stakes.

A son of leading international sire Medaglia d’Oro, Den’s Legacy was bred by Gaye Schwartz out of Sunshine Song, a War Chant half-sister to Grade 1 winner C. S. Silk and G3 winner Remember Sheikh.

Den’s Legacy will stand alongside Kipling, Mr. Nightlinger, Pollard’s Vision, Save Big Money and The Visualier at Mighty Acres, a division of Center Hills.
