The first Indiana-sired foals by leading stallion Ready’s Image have been born at Springcliff Farm in Martinsville, Indiana.

Grade 2 winner Ready’s Image, on lease from Calumet Farm, is currently standing his second season in Indiana at Dr. Roger Beam’s Midwest Equine and Veterinary Clinic in Trafalgar. The 2005 stallion by More Than Ready covered 27 mares in 2018, and stands for $2,000 for 2019.

The first colt is out of Run Along, a 2014 mare by Henny Hughes, born on February 15. The second colt is out of Indiana-bred Hebe’s Victory (Lost Victory), and was born February 25. Both mares are owned by one of Indiana’s leading owners, Penny Lauer.

“Both colts are very correct and healthy, not to mention precocious already,” says Christine Carroll, owner of Springcliff Farm.

Owner and trainer Michael Lauer is excited to see his two newest prospects, and is looking forward to seeing the impact Ready’s Image will have on the quality of racehorses in Indiana.

“Ready’s Image throws quality horses, and he throws versatile horses that can run on dirt or grass, long or short distances,” he said. “That’s what we like to see in Indiana.”
